Sarah Johnson created Oops! Did I Say That? to serve as an educational resource for those caring for pediatric cancer patients. Born in Hong Che’on, South Korea, on November 19, 1985, Sarah was adopted by Patty and Chip Johnson and currently resides in Peoria Heights, Illinois. She is a young writer whose passion lies in palliative care and health communication improvement.
Sarah was inspired to write this book drawing from her own experience with Philadelphia Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 14. Sarah has personally experienced the physical, psychological, and emotional adversities that become part of the daily routine for a pediatric cancer patient. A graduate of Millikin University with a BA in Human Services and Communication, she hopes that her book will inspire and teach others how to become effective and sensitive communicators during the stressful situations involved with pediatric cancer treatment.
