Accomplishments of the Fall 2008 Staff

Published the Millikin University Haiku Anthology. Celebrated the publication date through a Millikin University Haiku Homecoming reading and book signing.

Published Ray George: The Life of a Master Printmaker which was celebrated at the opening of the Ray George exhibit. Students went to Original Smith Printing company in Bloomington for a press check.

Published the Midwest Artists Exhibition catalog booklet which was released at the Decatur Area Arts Council Midwest Artists exhibit.

Completed micro-press runs of chapbooks and special collections by each member of the Art of Publishing class.

Established our Paypal Account, shopping cart web site, and computer accounting of all company records from startup. Redesigned the web site for easier updates and online shopping capabilities.

Completed editorial revisions and graphic design for Oops, Did I Say That? Explored marketing and non-profit sponsors for publication and distribution of this children's book. Received bids and completed a marketing plan for a Spring 2008 publication release.

Each semester we interview students interested in joining the company. See the Bronze Man Books employment guidelines, and contact Dr. Randy Brooks or Ed Walker to request an interview. Members of our board will interview you to discuss possibile contributions you could make within the company's organizational structure.
